How to Watch Euro 2024 for Free in Thailand

Euro 2024 is going to kick off on June 15, 2024, and it will last until July 15, 2024 (Thailand time).

If you are in Thailand at that time and want to cheer for your favorite team while you are here, there is both good news and bad news for you.

• Good news: There are many ways you can watch Euro 2024 for free.
• Bad news: Because the timezone is different, you may need to wake up very early at 2 am to watch a match.

In this article, I’m going to show you everything you need to know about how to watch Euro 2024 in Thailand, including where to watch, how to find English commentaries, where to find highlights, and more.

Free Channels 

Good news for everyone in Thailand. 

There are 4 Thai channels where you can watch Euro 2024 for free, including:

• NBT (channel 11)
• MCOT (channel 30)
• Thairath TV (channel 32)
• PPTV  (channel 36)

On match days, you can go to one of these channels based on the broadcast schedule below and watch Euro 2024 for free.

However, there are some limitations:

1. Because of a licensing issue, you might not be able to watch it from a certain satellite.
2. Full HD is not available.

In case you cannot watch Euro 2024 on your television, you can watch it from the channel’s website directly instead.

How to Watch Euro 2024 with English Commentaries 

There are three main ways you can do it:

1. Change language on a free channel
2. Subscribe to TrueVision
3. Use a VPN
4. Sports bars 

Let’s take a look at each option.

Change Language on a Free Channel

Depending on the television and TV channels, it’s possible to switch from Thai commentaries to English commentaries using the change language option on your remote control.

For example, you can change the commentary language if PPTV broadcasts it. On the other hand, if it’s Thairath TV, you can’t change the commentary language.

In case you are watching directly from the channel’s website, it may be possible to click the gear icon to change the language.

TrueVision

TrueVision is one of the biggest TV channel providers in Thailand. 

They purchased all of the broadcast licenses to watch Euro 2024 in Thailand and will broadcast every match on their True Premier Football 3 and True Premier Football 4 channels. 

To watch these two channels, you need to at least subscribe to their TrueVision Now Standard package, which costs 249 baht a month. 

Here’s what you get:

• You can watch all Euro 2024 matches in Full HD with English commentaries.
• In addition to Euro 2024, you can watch F1 2024, Discovery Asia, Cartoon Network, and more.
• There are no advertisements.

One of the biggest drawbacks of this method is that it comes with a minimum contract of 6-12 months. Also, while it’s easy to apply for the package, canceling it can be a headache. 

VPN

VPN is our personal favorite method of watching Euro 2024 because of these reasons:

• You can watch every match no matter where you are in the world.
• You can access every geo-restricted content, including TV shows and series.
• You get much better protection for your internet activities.

To watch Euro 2024 via a VPN, there are three things you need:

• In the VPN app, change your location to the country where the channel you want to watch is available. For example, if you want to watch Euro 2024 from ITVX, which is a streaming service from the UK, you need to change your location to the UK.
• Go to a streaming site and start watching Euro 2024 right away.

Sports Bars

Since Euro 2024 is very popular in Thailand, most sports bars should stream it on match days. 

Here’s a list of recommended sports bars in Thailand where you can watch Euro 2024. While the list is mainly for F1, it works for Euro 2024.

Since all sports bars must be closed at 2 am in Thailand, you are unable to watch any match that starts after that time. 

Euro 2024 Schedule in Thailand

The first Euro 2024 match between Germany and Scotland starts at 2 am on June 15, 2024, in Thailand.

After that, matches normally start at 8 pm, 11 pm, and 2 am. 

You can quickly see upcoming matches in your local time, standings, news, and key stats there at once. 

Teams to Watch For

In my opinion, France, Germany, and England are the three teams to watch for.

France recently got second place in the World Cup 2022 and they still have great players in all positions. 

On the other hand, Germany’s performance wasn’t that good at the moment, but they are the host country of Euro 2024.

England, on the other hand, is full of superstars in many positions and their expectations are very high.
